About & Editorial Standards
Restart Financial is a self-paced money-management program built for people starting over — budgeting tools, a learning library, and an AI Money Coach. This page explains who is behind it, how the content is written and reviewed, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Who is behind Restart Financial
Restart Financial was created by John & Jennifer Croft. They also authored an earlier credit book that is no longer included in the current program while it is corrected and independently reviewed. They are identified here as the program’s co-founders and authors. This page does not claim that either author holds a financial-planning, investment, insurance, accounting, legal or insolvency licence.

The program provides general education. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances. Any future designation or licence will be listed only after it has been independently verified.
How our content is written and reviewed
Course lessons are written in plain language and are intended as general financial education, not individualized financial, legal, insurance, tax or insolvency advice. Specialized topics are held to a higher bar: they stay clearly labelled as awaiting specialist review until a qualified, appropriately licensed professional has actually reviewed and approved them.

An internal check is not an independent professional review. We will name a reviewer and describe their qualification only after that person has reviewed the material and agreed to be identified.
